AE Launches Euro-Centric Web Site

Fort Collins, Colo., Mar. 25, 2003—Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) today announced the launch of its newest customer-service resource, a European-focused Web site that will facilitate accessibility to general corporate and product information about Advanced Energy. Located at and accessible from the company’s corporate site,, this inaugural European site initially is designed for AE’s German-speaking customers. As AE’s first phase in providing its European customers online access to company and product information, phase two includes the company’s future plans to extend this access with additional European-language sites.


Last year, Advanced Energy greatly expanded its presence in Europe to enable closer proximity to its customers. In April 2002, AE acquired radio-frequency (RF) power solutions provider Dressler HF Technik GmbH ( Headquartered in Stolberg, Germany, Dressler has a large presence in Germany, with substantial design and manufacturing facilities. In addition, last January, AE acquired Aera Japan, Ltd.-a leading global supplier of mass flow technology, with facilities in Dresden and Kirchheim. According to Kamel Ferdi, general manager of Europe for Advanced Energy, “This new Web site facilitates easy access to valuable product and company information for our European customers. We anticipate that these sites will become primary tools to help meet customers’ needs around the world.”
